Garden unleashed

Hi All,
Garden here!
I just redecorated the site--take a look around! It was sooo drab and not my style at ALL. I added a page for things to plant in 2011, gave the whole place a greener look and renamed this page appropriately.

Maybe I should introduce myself...
My name is NOT garden. That is simply a label-like over on the left--see it?
Its the biggest link by the way.
My name is Gloria. As in G. L. O. R. I. A.
Yes.. they even wrote a song about me. Go ahead and open it--Ill wait. I want you to listen to the song *about me* while I continue.

-I HAVE HIJACKED THIS BLOG-

Don't worry though... It's not a hostile take over(yet) and I won't be around forever. I've heard rumor there is no fall garden...and well, I'm not happy about that, but I do need my rest. It's been quite a stressful year on me.

My powers have been growing after all the attention I got from Gardening Gone Wild. It was only a matter of time really. This blog is REALLY about me and not the house. I mean, I don't know what April and Travis see in that house anyway, sounds like a real pain in the @ss.
I am the real star. Of all I have seen in my short 120 days. They even laid gorgeous stones on the patio because I couldn't STAND those cold cinder blocks. Blech--totally clashed with all my flowers.

Just look what I have done for them in return:
Pounds of beans and zucchini and chard, kale and collards! Lettuce, tomatoes and FLOWERS!
They LOVE my greens. Even my zucchinis are worthy of theft!

I have opened up their palette and invited myself to EVERY dinner!
Look at where I started at in April :

I'm all they talk about any more. I have to do everything around here so its only fair I get all the attention.

My point....

I've recently heard some criticism about my lack of tomatoes... I'm not impressed. We have a couple weeks yet... so you just wait. Ill show you. Let me just go talk to my friend here, Sunshine. *smirk*
I wanted to make sure there was no more bad mouthing of my lack of red tomatoes. I warn you because they can hear you and may become sullen and depressed. What they need is a little encouragement and celebration. Just like the 2 Early girls you received last week, you are going to need to celebrate with delicious meals each and every tomato you get. Bake them some fresh biscuits, buy some fancy cheese, prepare yourself to take care of them and you shall be rewarded. Go find some recipes and keep watching those plants!

I truly hope you heed my advice or I may need to use a little force next time.

Yours Tasty,

Gloria

  2. What a transformation from April! I wish you would talk to my garden, we've had peas, peas and more peas. That's all it would give us this year.
Thanks for visiting my blog, I'm always like finding more blogs from around here and seeing what's growing.
